• Thorough knowledge of principles and practices of modern clinical psychology, including abnormal psychology, diagnostic testing, personality theory, organic defects, psychological therapeutic counseling, statistics, and casework.
• Exceptional knowledge of principles and methods of psychological research and diagnosis.
• Strong knowledge of principles of mental health education and counseling; community organizations, resources, and allied mental health services available in the local area.
• In-depth ability to provide a variety of psychological diagnostic services, therapeutic counseling, and psychotherapy for Behavioral Health Department clients.
• Strong ability to administer and interpret a variety of psychological tests and assessment instruments.
• Uncommon ability to identify normal and abnormal behaviors, preparing prognoses and psychological case reports.
• Immense ability to establish and maintain a good objective working relationship with clients in determining their needs and performing psychological diagnosis.
• Excellent ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with people from diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Remarkable ability to explain complex and technical terminology and concepts in an understandable and non-threatening manner.
• High experience of offering Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), Behavioral Therapy (BT), Client Centered Therapy (CCT) or another cognitive approach, as well as of conducting workshops for student’s development, preferably in a university or comparable setting.
